SPODE BLUE ROOM SPICE OR HERB JAR – THYME – BLUE ROSE PATTERN

This lovely Spode Blue Room spice jar is 4.5" (11cm) high, the lid still having the original rubber seal and it was from the range made in England in the 1990's before the company started importing their wares from the far east

The decoration is reproduced from a hand engraved copper plate, the Blue Rose design being introduced to the Spode range of patterns c1826

Please note that it is from the range that featured lids decorated in the same pattern as the main body unlike the later versions, also made in England but around 2005, in which all the lids were decorated in a standard blue room pattern that was different to the body

Although it is not new it is in excellent undamaged condition and will make a fine addition to your collection or a super gift
