This terrific Poole shape
345 red bodied vase dates from the Carter, Stabler Adams period, is decorated
with the FE pattern introduced circa 1922 and was made in the early 1920’s
The impressed backstamp
dates it to the period 1921 to 1934 and the paintress mark is the one used from
1922 to 1937 by Ruth Pavely who was head of painting and with the pottery for
43 years in all from 1922 to 1965
It is a nice size, 4.75"
(12cm) tall, 4.75” (12cm) diameter at the widest point and the rim is 3.25"
(8cm) diameter
The vase has some minor
decorative imperfections seen in many pieces of this age and an old restoration
to a small chip on the foot, but they are only visible under close inspection
and overall it is in pretty good condition with no cracks or crazing
A nice early vase that
will make a fine addition to your collection or a lovely gift
