SPODE BLUE ROOM SPICE OR HERB JAR – MINT – CASTLE PATTERN

This lovely Spode Blue Room spice jar is 4.5" (11cm) high, the lid having a snug fitting rubber seal and it was from the range made in England in the 1990's

The decoration is reproduced from a hand engraved copper plate, the Castle design being introduced to the Spode range of patterns in about 1806

Please note that it is from the range that featured lids decorated in the same pattern as the main body unlike the later versions, also made in England but around 2005, in which all the lids were decorated in a standard blue room pattern that was different to the body

Although it is not new it is a best quality piece in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or staining and will make a fine addition to your collection
