This superb pendant is
made from two pressed layers of white clay decorated with an abstract slip
trailed phallus – a commonly occurring theme in so many of Guy’s playful erotic
designs
It is from a collection of
Guy Sydenham Studio miniatures but there are no marks on the back – bearing the
subject matter in mind it’s very likely to have been made by Guy himself, but
his wife Joan and their son Russel were also making jewellery and miniatures at
the various Sydenham studios
It is quite small, 1.5"
(4cm) long and 13/16" (2.2cm) and in great condition with no chips,
cracks or restoration and will make a fine addition to your collection or a
super gift
