POOLE POTTERY STUDIO MEDITERRANEAN STYLE CHARGER & ROMAN VASE SET – ROS SOMMERFELT

This wonderful design-led retro style set comprises of a nice big Roman vase together with a charger made at the Quayside Studio and decorated with a subtle Mediterranean style design by top ceramic artist Ros Sommerfelt in 1986

The Charger is 13.75” (35cm) diameter, the Roman shape vase is 12.25” (31cm) high, 9” (22.5cm) diameter at the widest point, 6.25” (15.5cm) diameter at the rim and weighs nearly 4Kg

Being Studio pieces hand decorated by one of their leading designers, they are rare things and there will be very few, if any, of the same shape and design - you can see a picture of Ros decorating a smaller vase in a similar pattern on page 160 of Leslie Hayward’s Poole book

These superb pieces are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, the charger comes complete with original box and this lovely set would grace any collection or make a lovely gift
