This wonderful shape 334
Poole Pottery fish is from a collection of art deco style figures believed to
have been designed by John Adams and modelled by Harry Brown in 1936/1937, very
few were made so it is a bit of a rarity
Spray
painted in Picotee glazes, it is a good size standing 7.5" (19cm) high and
11.5" (29cm) long
There
are a couple of minor under-glaze manufacturing imperfections to the body,
firstly a small abrasion to the tail and secondly a cut to the hidden rear end
of the dorsal fin as shown in the pictures but they are barely noticeable being
much smaller than they look in the close-up pictures and I only mention them as
a matter of accuracy - otherwise it is in excellent condition with no cracks or
crazing
