GUY SYDENHAM STUDIO POTTERY – MINIATURE BOWL

This superb little salt glazed bowl was made by master potter Guy Sydenham during his time at the Quay Pottery on Green Island, from 1968 to 1988

You can see lots of similar salt glazed pieces in Guy's wonderful "Potter's Life" books, both of which were published with the help of John Benfield - if you don't have a copy of them....get one!

It is 1.5" (40mm) high and 2.5" (65mm) diameter at the top and has Guy's Green Island Studio mark on the base

There is a half centimetre manufacturing fault on one side as you can see in the pictures, but otherwise this lovely piece is in great condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and will make a fine addition to your collection or a super gift
