POOLE POTTERY ABSTRACT PASTEL BRUSH STROKES PATTERN 26cm ATHENS VASE

This wonderful Poole vase is decorated with subtle pastel coloured brush strokes - I haven't seen anything in this pattern before so it may be a trial piece or one of a small number made with similar abstract designs

It has the factory backstamp in use from 1970 to 1999 and a decorator's mark but I can't identify who they were, I'm pretty sure it was made in the mid to late 1990's

This superb Athens shaped vase is 10.25" (26cm) tall, 5" (12.5cm) diameter at the widest point and the rim is 3.75" (9.5cm) diameter

There is a tiny, barely noticeable pinhole in the glaze near the base but it is fairly common in pieces from this period and I only mention it as a matter of accuracy - otherwise it is in excellent undamaged condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration and will make a fine addition to your collection or a lovely gift
