Dave Thomas was one of the best British golfers of the 1950’s & 1960’s, especially known for his long, straight driving, winning 12 tournaments with the very best just eluding him when he finished second in The Open Championship twice, losing in a 36 hole playoff to Peter Thompson at Royal Lytham in 1958 and by only a stroke to the great Jack Nicklaus at Muirfield in 1966 – Modern Golf explains the many techniques needed to play your best version of the Greatest Game

This is a first edition published by Gerald Duckworth & Co in London in 1967 - it is a 128 page hardback, light green cloth cover with black lettering on the spine complete with dustjacket measuring 8.75" (22cm) x 5.5" (14cm) x 5/8" (1.5cm)

The book itself is in excellent condition with a good binding, only minor signs of shelf wear and no written dedications, stains or age related discolouration – as you can see from the pictures, the dustjacket has some fading and a little wear in places but is generally in fairly good condition and has been price-clipped

A great read for the golf enthusiast, it will make a fine addition to any sporting library
