LLADRO GATO AL ACECHO CROUCHING SIAMESE CAT FIGURE by JUAN HUERA

This wonderful Lladro porcelain Siamese cat, Gato Al Acecho was designed by Juan Huera and in production from 1970 to 1975 with this one having the factory backstamp in use from 1971 to 1974 - the design features rich, deep colours and an almost distressed finish as can be seen in the pictures, quite different to Lladro’s usual pristine pastel tones

It is about life size for a Siamese cat, an impressive 16" (40.5cm) long, 6.5” (16cm) high, 6” (15cm) wide and weighs just under 2 Kg

Despite being around 50 years old, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration

Quite a rarity, this is a very nice piece to add to any cat collection and will make a lovely gift
