ARNALDO GIANNELLI ALABASTER FIGURE – LARGE SIZED CHINESE GENTLEMAN 45cm

This very nice quality sculptural figure of a Chinese Gentleman is from Egregia di Arnaldo Giannelli of Volterra, Italy

Born in 1907, Arnaldo Giannelli was a master sculptor and president of the Alabaster Craftsmen’s Guild from 1953 to 1961

I’m not sure when this was made, but at almost twice the height of most Giannelli figures, it stands an impressive 17.75” (45cm) high and weighs a hefty 3.3 Kg

Although this beautiful figure is not new, the main part is in wonderful undamaged condition although there is a little chip to the back of the marble base just below Arnaldo Giannelli’s signature

It will make a fine addition to any oriental themed collection
