ROYAL WORCESTER PATTERN RECORD COLLECTION PRINCE REGENT ACCENT SIDE PLATE This 8" (20cm) diameter plate is from Royal Worcester's Pattern Record Collection and features a part of artwork from the original c1811 design for the wonderful Prince Regent pattern There is a small manufacturing fault in the body, it is a bit uneven right on the rim at about the 10 o'clock mark in the picture and a it also has couple of very minor marks to the gilding that I only mention as a matter of accuracy Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and the rest of the gilding is bright & fresh throughout with no signs of wear These superb plates very seldom appear on the market and it will make a fine addition to your service or a lovely gift Prices include P&P Choose your delivery area from the list below before you add to cart |
ROYAL WORCESTER Z13/2 RIVIERA PATTERN 9.25" PLATE Manufactured in 1929 or 1930, this 9.25" (23.5cm) plate is in the sought after Riviera pattern which is Royal Worcester design number Z13/2. The decoration of the Riviera pattern sees transfer printed outlines with handpainted detail of a classical design featuring Arabian type oil lamps, Grecian urns, peaches, plums, cherries and flowers A variety of different paints & glazes are used in this design, some much thicker than others. The flames from the oil lamps, the red centres of the blue flowers and the cherries stand out proud of the surface giving it a depth that you might not expect This plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks crazing or restoration although there are a few minor cutlery marks.
