This terrific Poole shape 406 red bodied bowl dates from the Carter, Stabler & Adams period, is decorated in the CO pattern designed by Truda Carter and was made in the early 1930’s

The impressed backstamp dates it to the period 1925 to 1934 and the paintress mark is that of Mary Brown who was with the pottery from 1925 to 1934

It is a good size, 5.25" (13cm) tall and the rim is 9.25" (24cm) diameter

There are a couple of minor imperfections in the decoration which you will see in the pictures, there is also a very tiny graze to the glazing on the rim which is only visible when magnified and it has the light crazing which is so common in pieces of this age – other than that it is in excellent condition with no cracks or restoration

A very nice bowl that will make a fine addition to your collection or a lovely gift
