This superb chamber stick
was made by master potter Guy Sydenham at his Studio on Green Island, probably
around 1980
You can
see lots of Guy's work in his wonderful "Potter's Life" books, which
were published with the help of John Benfield - if you don't have a copy
of them....get one - or both!
It is
4.75" (12cm) diameter and 2.5" (6.5cm) high to the top of the handle
You
will find Guy's Green Island Studio marks on the base and the bottom of the
handle
A
lovely piece, it is in great condition with no chips, cracks or
restoration - the circular mark visible on the picture of the base is not a
crack, just a score mark made during manufacture
A very
nice piece, it will make a fine addition to your collection
