And I'm Wendy. Wendy has always had a love of decorative arts and fine tableware. Her mother, Ruby Cooper, was a talented paintress at Poole Pottery in the 1930s later moving to Branksome Pottery in the 1950s, so you could say 'it is in her blood'. Wendy entered an office when she left school but found this was not for her and entered the Retail Sector and proceeded quickly to Sales Management and Training when she moved to London in the 1970s. She laments the demise of the ceramics industry in the UK and hopes that it may revive in the not too distant future. Meanwhile she enjoys ceramics, old and new, and looks forward to visits to Stoke on Trent to see friends and suppliers and to soak up the history of British Ceramics. |
